You’re probably wondering, “Who is this guy”? The most important thing you need to know about me is my family. I have been married to my amazing wife Julie for 23 years (yes, we got married at 12 years old!), and we have 4 unique and wonderful children. Our oldest is Emily (22), she is a single mom to our 4 year old granddaughter Lydia. She works in the healthcare field and serves in the Student Ministry at a church in Dayton. Amy and Abigail are both students at Ohio Northern University. Amy (20) is studying business, PR, and marketing and wants to work in a non-profit and change the world some day. Abigail (19) is in the Nursing College and wants to be a Nurse Practitioner. Ben (15) is a sophomore in High School and a devout soccer player. He is looking forward to connecting to the Oak Hills Soccer Program and Cincinnati Club Soccer.
I have served in the United Methodist church for 15 years in a variety of contexts from small rural churches to vital urban churches and large suburban churches. I have been a part of multi-site ministry and even had the opportunity to plant a church. My life verse is 2 Timothy 2:15 – “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
I have heard a lot about you and I am anxious to get to know and serve with each of you as you deepen your faith, discover your God calling, and change the world. I am excited to work closely with Pastor Rachel on a transition strategy that ensures that the ministry and mission of Shiloh is not disrupted one bit through this time of transition but is enhanced and magnified. God started something big at Shiloh and God always finishes what God starts – I can’t wait to be a part of it.
God is Good
