6:00 - 8:00pm DRIVE/SURGEJoint Youth Ministry Events (Grades 6th – 12th) Sunday, September 12th - Youth Group Kick Off (6:00–8:00pm) Fun Games, Free Food, and Excitement! Everyone is welcome to the party to celebrate the new year! Bring your friends! Sunday, September 19th - Youth Group (6:00–8:00pm) An evening filled with fun activities, small group discussion, and time to spend with others your age! Friday, September 24th – ONE Lock-In (10:24pm-7:24am) A multi-church Lock-in that is open to all 6th – 12th graders held at Westwood UMC (3460 Epworth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45211)The evening is full of events, games, movies, and food so there is no time to sleep. The cost is $10.00 at the door. Sunday, September 12th – Family Potluck (6:00–8:00pm) A time to have dinner together as a family and find out more information about the Youth and Preteen ministry of Shiloh! Thursday, September 30th – Community Groups (7:00–9:00pm) Adult, Middle School, & High School level study of the Bible through study and discussion. Events on the horizon: Youth Council Elections will be held on October 3rd! DRIVE High School Ministry (Grades 10th – 12th) DRIVE Sunday School (9:30-10:30) This isn’t your grandma’s Sunday School but we do serve her pancakes! We meet in the kitchen in the education wing of the building. DRIVE Bible Study (7:00–9:00pm) - High School level study of the Bible through study and discussion. SURGE Middle School Ministry (Grades 6th – 8th) SURGE Sunday School (9:30-10:30) – A place for discussing topics focused on age appropriate current events and youth related issues. We meet in the Youth Room in the hallway behind the multipurpose room. SURGE After Hours Tuesday (2:15–4:00pm) – focuses on a multitude of clubs for youth to participate plus snacks!!! Thursday (2:15–4:00pm) – focuses on creating an open space for youth to spend time with their friends over pizza and open activities (basketball, video games, place to chat, etc.)!!! Our Purpose Statement Youth Ministry of Shiloh UMC exists to serve Christ through serving others, joining as one body under Christ in order to reach students, to help all youth to mature in God’s Word, and to equip their mind, body, and spirit for worship of the Lord. Investing in key Christian relationships. Visioning for themselves & others to be in a better relationship with Jesus Christ. Equipping their mind, body, & spirit for worship & guidance by the Holy Spirit. SURGE - Middle School Ministry Serve others as Christ’s hands and Feet. Unite as the one body of Christ. Reach out to others as the Light of the Trinity. Grow in knowledge & relationship with the Lord. Equip the mind, body, & Spirit to be a tool of the Holy Spirit.
